No. All PDF processing happens locally in your browser or on your device. Your file never leaves your machine. We only store account metadata (never file contents).
With Standard Export, the text technically remains in the PDF data stream and could be revealed by a sophisticated PDF editor. Use Secure Export (Pro) to rasterise the pages, making text completely unrecoverable.
Manual redaction works on any PDF — including scans — because you draw rectangles over the image. Auto-Detection and Presets require a searchable text layer and won’t find patterns in a scanned image.

Go to Account → Billing → Manage Subscription. You are taken to the Stripe Customer Portal where you can cancel immediately. Access continues until the end of the billing period.
Yes — when used for lawful privacy protection. Redacting personally irrelevant information before sharing with landlords, lenders, or employers is legal in most jurisdictions. Using redaction to fabricate or misrepresent your financial situation is fraud and is strictly prohibited. See our Acceptable Use Policy.
