Smart Presets

Presets detect and apply a curated collection of redactions suited to a specific audience — saving you from manually toggling every individual item.

Available Presets

Landlord

Hides: account numbers, sort codes, most individual transaction amounts (keeps running totals), loan and overdraft references.

Loan Officer

Hides: account numbers, sort codes, individual merchant names (preserves category totals), national ID fields.

Immigration / Visa

Hides: date of birth, national ID, individual transaction notes while showing proof-of-funds balance figures.

Employer / Salary Verification

Hides: account numbers, specific merchant names, and personal spending lines — keeps salary credits visible.

How to Apply a Preset

1. Upload your PDF.
2. Open the Presets tab in the sidebar.
3. Click the preset card that matches your recipient.
4. RedactLedger runs Auto-Detection with the preset's rule set and adds redaction rectangles automatically.

You can tweak the result: toggle individual items in the Detect tab, or draw additional manual redactions.

Switching Presets

Clickin a different preset card replaces the current preset's auto-redactions. Any manual redactions you drew are kept.

Preset Availability

Presets require a Pro subscription. Free users can access the Preset tab to preview available presets but cannot apply them.
