Previewing Redactions

Before you export, RedactLedger lets you review every page to make sure redactions are placed correctly.

In-Editor Preview

As you draw redactions or toggle auto-detected items, the rectangles appear immediately on the canvas with a solid fill — exactly as they will look in the exported PDF.

• Use the zoom controls (bottom bar on mobile, toolbar on desktop) to enlarge areas you want to inspect closely.
• Navigate between pages with the ← and → buttons below the canvas.

Checking Coverage

• Zoom to at least 150% when inspecting partial redactions (e.g. where a line is partly covered).
• Look for characters peeking out at the edge of a box — if so, drag the handles to widen the rectangle, or delete and redraw.
• The sidebar counter shows total redactions by source (manual, auto-detected, search, merchant) so you can spot-check the numbers.

Row-Removal Preview

When you add a Remove Row band, a blue stripe and scissors icon appear on the canvas. The stripe shows the exact rows that will be cut and the gap that will be closed. Review these carefully — the operation removes the text permanently.

After Preview

Once you are satisfied, click Export Redacted PDF in the sidebar or toolbar to proceed to the fraud-warning confirmation and download.
